Wired vs. Wireless Devices

What’s the difference between wired and wireless GPS trackers?

Wired GPS trackers are connected directly to your vehicle's power source, offering continuous tracking without worrying about battery life.

Wireless GPS trackers run on rechargeable or replaceable batteries and don't require any modifications to your vehicle. Since they aren’t connected to the vehicle’s electrical system, they won’t void your car’s warranty or cause any damage.
Can a wired tracker drain my car battery?

No, wired trackers are designed to draw minimal power from the vehicle. However, if the car is not used for extended periods e.g. weeks, it’s recommended to monitor battery levels.

Do wireless trackers need frequent charging?

It depends on usage and the device model. Some wireless trackers can last weeks on a single charge, while others may require charging every few days. Basically it depends on how often you drive.
Which one is better for stolen vehicle recovery?

Wired trackers are generally better for stolen vehicle recovery because they provide continuous tracking. However, a wireless tracker can still be effective if properly charged and maintained.
How will I know when the Wireless Battery Needs Charging?

Your mobile app will display the tracker’s current battery status. Additionally, when the battery level drops low, you’ll receive a notification reminding you to charge it, ensuring uninterrupted tracking.
Can the wireless tracker be used for recovery?

Yes, the wireless tracker works just as effectively as the wired one for vehicle recovery. Just make sure to keep it charged to ensure continuous tracking and optimal performance.
